Carlos A. Villalobos is a trial attorney with experience in both criminal defense and civil litigation. As a first-generation American, Carlos brings a deep sense of purpose to his work—driven by a commitment to serve those in need and give back to the community that shaped him.

Before pursuing a legal career, Carlos spent time in both Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia, where he worked as an English teacher and received a public service award in Bogotá for his dedication to education. He also helped build homes and taught English in underserved communities, instilling in him a lifelong passion for advocacy and service.

Carlos earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and his J.D., cum laude, from St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami, where he was also a member of the Human Rights Law Review.

He began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney, where he prosecuted hundreds of cases and gained valuable trial experience while serving the public. Today, Carlos draws on that foundation to advocate for individuals and families facing legal challenges.

He is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, as well as before the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.  Whether defending someone’s rights or pursuing justice in civil matters, he is driven by empathy, integrity, and a strong belief in standing up for those who need it most.
